I've been in contact with several BM reps and spoke to one at NAB recently about the future of the Ursa (not the minis) and I've been getting the same info regarding the upgradable sensors and it's delays. However, I now have noticed that the Ursa's are no longer even listed on the BM website.
My fear is that BM is slowly phasing out the Ursa's to push the new Ursa Mini Pro's. I currently own both an Ursa 4k and an Ursa Mini 4k and would love to continue using the larger Ursa camera, especially since I primarily purchased it several years ago solely based on the "future-proof" upgradable sensors. I don't have much interest in purchasing the Ursa Mini Pro even at the discount since I was an original purchaser of the Ursa.
Has anyone heard anything more on this?
