I was in the middle of completing the 4.3.1 update when the camera powered down and now I cant get it to come back on. I've tried both the battery and the power cord with no luck. Anyone run into this?

Reggie

This may not help, but try running the camera update and plugging in the USB cable and see if the camera update can complete the firmware update.

A power down/crash on firmware update is always the worst thing that can happen to any hardware!.. If Rick's suggestion doesn't work, i would contact BMD support as they are the only ones who can help.

I did try that and it failed to load the software. It says the camera needs to be powered on.

If you had the camera with XLR power supplied via the AC adapter and tried to toggle on the camera, I'm sorry that didn't help. We have seen other posts which were interrupted, but were able to be resumed.

Why did the camera power down during your attempted firmware update? Were you powering the camera via the XLR power input? Fully charged battery? If it just mysteriously powered off, then you probably need to deal with BMD Support to arrange an RMA for a repair.

I contacted Blackmagic and I was instructed to try the 4.3.2 update, but that didnt' work either. I'll be sending the camera in. Thanks all.

Was afraid that it was a camera issue after all. Soon you'll be happy again. Thanks for the update.
