Who has cameras to potentially rent?

PostTue Sep 04, 2012 10:59 am

Hi All,

I have no interest in the current childish shipping thread but some of us are planning shoots with our cameras in the next few months and there is a chance our cameras won't get here in time. I'm totally fine with that and it's not unreasonable for a product like this. BUT sometimes you can't reschedule a shoot round a soft delivery date.

SO I thought it might be cool to have a thread where people who DO have their cameras can pipe up and offer a camera up if someones hasn't turned up yet. I think the people with the cameras can work out what they want in return, I'm sure a rental price for the camera has been set somewhere already but maybe for amateur shoots there could be some contra deals on offer either helping out on each others shoots or something.

How does this sound to the community?

Cheers,

Toby

PS I'm in Melbourne Australia have a short planned for November. I'm hoping to have mine by then but would love to have some backups...

A little harsh... like you, those people just want their cameras.

Oh I agree but the descent into 'I hate BMD' and 'how dare you not ship my camera yet' kind of posts is hardly productive.

I think the " how dare you not ship my camera yet " is stemming from them giving production cameras to those who honestly don't care about them...

And so it begins in here.

If you wouldn't say this to Grant Petty's face, don't say it in this thread please, there are already enough threads hijacked by typical internet sniping and baseless assumptions like yours Jason. If you have a problem with my attitude, DM me, email me, call me and talk to me on the phone, start a new thread or ask to have me banned but PLEASE

Can we just keep this to a list of people willing to share or rent their cameras to others.

I've no idea when I'll get my camera, but I'd be more than willing to rent/lend it to the right person on a shoot if they hadn't received theirs yet. Either for money or for favours on another production...

Though I'm based in Western Australia, so probably not many people here looking for one :)

If we end up getting our camera before you - you're more than welcome to borrow it.
