The Teacher Project - Series - UM46K / DJI Ronin

PostSat Jun 17, 2017 10:58 pm

Hey guys,

Today I'd like to share with you a small series I've been working on for the last little while. I've been lucky enough to get to create an 8 episodes documentary vignette series about teachers who bring different kinds of learning to the classroom all across Saskatchewan, and it's been an insane experience, and I really would love to know what you guys think, so if you have time, critique away!

The process of this series has been quite unique, the client will find the subject, and I'll be sent to the school with my crew for two days to create a small visual story, with an edit due less than a week later before we move on to the next story. It's been insane, but we've pushed hard to make something that I am proud of.

Gear: Ursa Mini 4.6K, BMCC, DJI Ronin, Kessler Shuttle Dolly

Here are my favourite three of the series.

- Melissa's Story - The story of a teacher who set in motion outdoor learning spaces, where the students can learn in nature, and about nature.

- Dion's Story - The story of a program that helps give students more one-on-one time to better develop their reading skills.

- Christopher's Story - The story of a principal that developed a initiative to raise money to buy and prepare backpacks to give to new-coming Syrian families.

Thank you Chris, been really trying to develop some cinematography skills over the last year, so this means a lot!

Thank you Denny, that was the main intent, tell small stories that suck you in as fast as they can. :)

Thank you so much Note, your Seattle video was the reason I bought an Ursa! Appreciate you checking out my work.
