Blackmagic Camera Control

Once your URSA Mini Pro’s has been updated, you can download the Blackmagic Camera Control app for iPad from the iOS App Store. The combination of camera update and the new iPad app lets you send and receive commands to your URSA Mini Pro camera from up to 30 feet away. You can change all major settings, add metadata, trigger recording and even power the camera on and off! It’s a very handy tool if you need to control your camera on a crane, drone, in an underwater housing or any other hard to reach place.

After installing the App your iPad will ask if you would like to enable location services, if you say 'allow' to this your GPS location data from your iPad will be written to the ProRes or RAW files on the URSA Mini Pro when the app is open and conneccted to your camera.

We will also be following up with an SDK, as mentioned at NAB, so people can create their own apps to control the camera.
