I only need my camera for occasional feature work so I'm thinking of renting it out. Who might be interested? What kit would you look for and for what period?

You could probably use these guys to gage the going rate for BMCC rentals: http://www.lensrentals.com/rent/video/c ... ema-camera

I know several film students who rent there because they're able to scrounge up a couple hundred bucks, but saving a few thousand dollars is out of reach. There's definitely a market.

I personally have a rule that I only loan my camera to personal friends who either have production insurance, or are having me work on their crew. Because I know they're broke and should an accident occur there's no way they would be able to repay me. But, depending on your tolerance for risk, the camera can probably pay for itself after a few months of renting.
