Squiggly line in IR Cut Filter

In the middle of swapping ef to pl on my UMP for the first time I noticed a squiggly line on the IR cut filter :? (I'd post the pic, but lack the privileges)

Other than the obvious, are there any problems a smudge or scratch like this could cause? Honestly I'm scared to even touch it since the footage looked fine. I got this about 2 weeks ago from B&H, it's still returnable, do you guys think it would be worth the trouble? Everything seems to be ok with the camera

If it's as scratch, I'd return it. Get out the magnifying glass. Better yet, put a macro lens on your stills camera and post here. You'll soon get privileges after a few posts.

You can try cleaning the glass with a sensor swab to avoid the hassle of returning the camera (if the camera is good without other problems it makes sense to not play the lottery again!)

That worked! Grabbed a set from amazon, took it right off - no idea what that was or how it got there, just relieved it's gone!

Thanks!!
