LeViteZer 360 Pro Gimbal - calling for testers

PostMon Jul 24, 2017 10:22 am

Hi,

The first patch of LeViteZer 360 Pro gimbal is soon available. We are looking for few testers, serious professionals, who could provide also on site photographs for promoting purposes, and of-course video that can be said taken with it.

The 360 Pro gimbal is suited for many kind of installations, it is a completelly new type of gimbal, kind of normal gimbal turned outside in :) , the cameras are outside of the gimbal.

This setup with Nokia OZO, but it could as well be 3D setup with BMD micro cameras, or any setup up to 5 kg and maybe more.

On this one two security cameras, not interesting for filming...

But why not attach two micro cameras the same way (This video is with older 2 axis version, the 360 Pro is full 3 axis gimbal)

This video demonstrates also control over Ethernet. It can be controlled also with more traditional remote controllers.

If you are interested to receive one for testing, please contact me: kim.janson@levitezer.com , tell about your work and how you would use this gimbal.

Best regards,

Kim

On this one testing fluid head type control

This is still final prototype of the gimbal. First production units will be available in few weeks and provided for first testers.

New testers are still considered, if you have an interesting case where you would use the gimbal.

I guess I am a bit and take that as a compliment.

I mean, who else would develop a gimbal that is in-side-out, i.e the gimbal at center and camera outside the gimbal, and make a demonstration video of it with long cuts that actually show the performance and no fast cars and you know what on it to distract the viewer :D

Here is a review by a 360 video producer http://www.ultrapanorama.co.uk/blog/lev ... est-review

This setup remotely reminds me of something, but it is just an 360 camera :D

It handles Nokia OZO with ease, that is 4.2 kg

The max payload is not easy to define, it depends also a lot of the shape of the camera system and on what kind of conditions it wil be used. The gimbal construction is very solid and motors powerful.

What kind of camera system would you like to install on it?

Don't have an idea at the present - prob. something lighter than 4.2 kilo : 8-) , I did however like the low angle shots you did with it on a boat tracking all the way to the edge - so peaked my curiosity.

Some previously unpublished footage from summer 2016 and maybe it should have remained so, but at least it is raw and honest, long cuts directly from the camera.

I could not find 30 fps on on the Canon XC10 so this was shot in 25 fps, but edited in 30 fps timeline, so panning does not look so nice. Also I was experimenting the in camera stabilisation with the gimbal. The result on that is that it is better not use it.

This is one of the reasons why we are looking for testers, to provide some quality content, to avoid the rookie mistakes with the camera gear.

One advantage this construction provides is that the camera is on top of the gimbal, making it much easier to weather protect it on this kind of conditions. Also it pans freely more than 360 degrees, and is easy to operate with one hand when installed on monopod and joystick under the thumb.

Having one hand to hold on something on moving platform is very useful as I leraned when making the video :D

Ps. The LeViteZer 360 Pro production version is much improved of the 2016 prototype on the video. It has stronger motors and construction and looks much nicer :)
