BMD 'Camera' LUT generation - LightSpace

PostThu Aug 10, 2017 9:31 pm

With the latest release versions of LightSpace we have added 'Camera Options' for LUT generation, including BMD cameras, thanks to the help of BMD with the required colour science.

The tools enable both technical and creative LUT generation.

More info can be seen here: http://www.lightillusion.com/camera_options.html

Happy to answer any questions.

Thanks Steve,

Do you have any LUT's to show off? :) particularly for the Ursa Mini Pro. Also, having received the color science behind the camera do you have any technical LUT's that would help benefit the final image quality, like highlight roll off?

Thank you again,

Davi

We're not supplying LUTs on their own.
But, you can make any you want with the Camera tools now available within LightSpace.
And yes, that includes generating LUTs with roll-off/tone mapping.

Steve,

Is this for PC only?

I only have a Mac.

Thank you

As per the info on the website, LightSpace is Windows only, but will run on mac using any form of Windows emulation.

Steve, would it be possible to create a stripped down cheaper version of the software just for camera LUT creation? Because that would be the only use case I'd have and for that your software prices (£1,875.00+) are too high for me.
Saying "Thx for help!" is not a crime.

We may add the Camera Options t the LUTs+ license version...
We are still debating that.

Hi Robert - we've just announced the addition of LUT Manipulation tools, Convert Colour Space options, and Camera Look LUT generation to LightSpace LUTs+.

See: https://www.lightillusion.com/lightspace_luts+.html
(Please make sure you refresh your browser to see the added info to the page.)

Hope that's of interest.

Wow, what a set of tools, especially for control of the LMT in an ACES workflow.
Such a shame that Resolve doesn't allow control of the LMT.
