Workflow for UMP w/EVF, Video Assist 4k & SDI:SSD?

Evening all,

Long-time lurker, figured I should get an account.

Am picking up an Ursa Mini Pro in the next couple weeks - have a Video Assist 4k and planning on utilising the SDI:SSD adapter when it gets released.

My question is what would be the workflow for using it all together? As far as I've seen both the SDI in and out are utilised for the SSD recorder, so that only leaves the EVF SDI out. Would that then mean I go SDI>VideoAssist In and then VideoAssist Out>EVF?

Slightly confused and if it's a simple "you idiot, just do x", apologies.

I would use either the EVF or the VA, not both at the same time. But what you said, to VA then out to EVF would work, but you are adding to the video delay in the EVF, so that is not ideal either.

A good combo Monitor and EVF, is the SmallHD 501/502 with the Side Finder EVF attachment. It can switch between monitor to EVF mode very quickly.
