You should not need to update the SSD Recorder at this stage. Only if there is an update specifically for the SSD Recorder.

Camera 4.9 Update is now live on our support site and adds SSD Recorder support for the URSA Mini 4K as well as a bunch of other new features.

It's mentioned in the release notes. ;)

That feature in particular is one that we never though we would be able to add for the 4.6K and the 4K Minis so it's really great to be able to get it in there. Thanks for the support. It's nice to hear when people are happy with the things we have been working hard on.

Thanks Tim, this makes the Mini 4K a viable option for me also.
Have a great New Year
Cheers

Very good to see very comparable firmware capabilities across the URSA Mini family. Excellent work, Tim.

Such a contrast when I bought my Canon HV20 Camera. One firmware update and the camera replaced within 6 months with the HV30 and HV40 in another year and the HV20 seemingly forgotten. I’ve never had that feeling with the URSA Mini 4.6K. I hope the early adopters of the URSA 4K will share that sentiment too this year.
