Production Camera issue with SSDs/Battery?

PostThu Sep 21, 2017 8:31 pm

My Blackmagic Production 4k camera is having some issues. Every time I select to view previously recorded clips, the battery shows a 10% red charge even if it's fully charged and plugged into power.

It has also destroyed two SSDs since it started doing this.

My job depends on me having a usable camera.

Do I have a faulty internal battery that's causing it to destroy my SSDs?

Help is appreciated.

Thank you.

Production Camera issue with SSDs/Battery?

Feral, how many times have you fully charged that internal battery? I’m wondering if it’s no longer holding a charge.

But there are people still shooting with the original BMCC so that may not be the issue. If you are plugged into a power source, the battery shouldn’t be an issue. Have you called BMD Support to see what they may suggest?
