Hi there

I have not updated the firmware on my Mini 4K for a while and tried to update to the latest today (Blackmagic Camera 4.7.1 Update) form the website.

When I run the program it says my camera is up to date - It has software 4.4 on it.

Does that mean there are no updates and 4.4 is where it should be?

It does say in the readme for this update (4.7.1):

"URSA Mini 4K and URSA Mini 4.6K
Fixed an issue where URSA Mini is updated incorrectly."

So it sounds like it should update it?

Just checking I am not missing anything with this update?

I have found the answer.

Apparently 4.4 is the latest for the Mini 4K. If you don't have 4.4 the new update will update it to that correctly.

Yes, 4.7.1 is a corrected update for the Micro camera’s replacing some issues with 4.7.

I have the URSA Mini 4.6K and it also says up to date with FW 4.4. If your URSA Mini has FW 4.4, you're good to go.

I tried installing 4.7.1 on my Ursa Mini 4.6k and I got the same message telling me that it's up to date even when the firmware on my camera is 4.4. I don't see anything wrong with the camera, but I like having my equipment up to date, and this confuses me a little.

Ruben, FW 4.4 is the latest FW version for the Ursa Mini! If you read the 4.7.1updste notes, you will see this update is for the Micro Cinema and a Micro Studio cameras only. Not all FW updates are for all BM cameras.
