Flickering screen/footage

I am absolutely brand new to the BMCC and film making in general. I recently picked up the BMCC and have noticed that, unless in bright day light, there can be a noticeable flicker on the screen. This wouldn't be such an issue but it appears that the flicker is noticeable in recorded footage also. Could you please watch the footage linked below and let me know what exactly is causing this and what can be done, if anything, to avoid it.
The flicker is more noticeable when out of focus and in lower light.
