UMP RED IS PINK

PostFri Dec 08, 2017 8:20 pm

Working with Ursa, Ursa mini and UMP.
Multicam setup and the 2 old sensors is very easy to match. The UMP reading red color is surrealistic both in raw and prores. Very hard to match. The red channel seems to live its one life under different lighting compared to the 4k sensor. Is it just my camera?

Post a link to download DNG files from your cameras so we can see what you're seeing.

The 4.6 sensor is a much different sensor than the 4K, and live color output seems more subtle, compared to the 4K. Matching the 4.6 to an older 4K camer is going to be a challenge.

It’s likely more easily solved by using the proper colour spaces and so on. I know there is another thread here exactly on this topic and the final results were very good. Usually Search is your friend, but finding that thread might be a challenge.
