Because they've done this all before ? Because they devalued early adopters' equipment overnight by a third ? Because they happily pump out (1) new cameras and (2) updates for new cameras when the original BMCC has glaring issues which remain unresolved ?

The BMPCC has now had the "black sun" issue resolved... but the BMCC... which is several months older and cost 3x as much still sits with the problem.

The hope is that if people speak up it will reduce the likelihood of BMD doing stuff like this again.

Sorry apologists and fan-boys alike.....I am saying it....FALSE ADVERTISING. Rec709 in camera video lut is not color accurate, Audio inputs do not deliver "professional quality audio" yet. Until both of these advertised features are delivered, the BMCC is a victim of false advertising..as are it's purchasers. Sure RAW works. Sure you can get good audio if you purchase extra hardware for it....but don't take BM's word on the box about the camera being ready for prime time....as it is not. SO if you are only shooting RAW with a double system audio add-on, then you will be fine. Enjoy the camera. For anyone else out there hoping to deliver pre-colored ProRes files to their client, complete with attached HQ audio that is as robust as a zoom recorder....don't buy it. Not for you.
