I were upgrading the firmware on Ursa mini Pro from 4.7.1 to 4.9 and GV Edius Workgroup 9 crashes when I try to import prores recorded after the updade. It was fine with v4.7.1.
Also I it does the same when I rolled back to firmware 4.8.
I did test by upgrading and downgrading to v4.7.1, 4,8 and 4,9 back and forth but always the same.
Those files that crash in Edius work fine in Resolve thought.
So I am back to v4.7.1 for there I do not always have the time to take those files to Resolve and export from there before editing.
I love and use Resolve for color grading but Edius for editing so I have no choice other then roll back to 4.7.1.
I really miss having the ability to switch between shutter speed and angle, scrubbing playback in camera so please BM support fix this bug.

Also with the firmware version 4.7 installed on the UMP it says version 4.5 in the camera. It is the same when I check using Camera Setup 4.7.1 on my PC connected to the camera it says that the camera is up to date v4.5. ???
So vich version is it in the camera v4.5 or 4.7.1 ?

There were no changes for URSA Mini Pro between 4.5 and 4.8. This means that using 4.7, 4.7.1 will say that 4.5 is up to date for the Pro. If you have a look at the release notes the only versions that have changes for the Pro are 4.5, 4.8 and 4.9.

I am still waiting for an answer from BM support about the prores not working in Grassvalley Edius 9 when UMP is on firmware v4.8 and 4.9.

I tested 1080, UHD, 4k and 4.6k. All at 24, 25, 30, 50 and 60 fps exept 4k and 4.6k I tested only at 24, 25 and 30 fps.

It is the same with firmware v5! So back to v4.7.
Sorry but I really need to ask, will this be fixed?
All versions from 4.7 and below do work but not 4,8 and up???

Does the 5.0 update include the same improvements to UM46 and UMP?

The announcement thread is locked so maybe I can ask here...

Or are these improvements planned on a subsequent update?

The v5 is meant to be for the URSA Broadcast but I were hoping there were a fix for my problem. But UMP gos only to the v 4.9 when you install v5 that is giving me this problem among 4,8. I installed the 4.7 that gives me the v4,5 that works fine.

I think the v4.8 is the last update for UM 4.6

Just an update.
I reported early this week to Grassvalley about this problem and sent them one file from my camera with one of those firmware version.
Just got a report from them this morning.
Their engineers have fount out that the root cause of the problem is that incorrect video depth value is written in the clip.
This is done by rec equipment with firmware v4,8 and up, but nothing wrong with older firmwares, v4.7 and older.
The clips I provided have that incorrect value so EDIUS cannot load the clip.

Solved in firmware v 5.1
