BMPCC Freezes While Recording

I'm new to Blackmagic and cinematography in general, so please cut me some slack if I'm asking an elementary level question. I'm still learning. This question may have already been answered in these forums, but I could not find it (maybe I need to use different search terms).

I recently purchased a pre-owned Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera. I'm using SanDisk Extreme Pro SDXC V30 95 MB/s cards, which, as I understand, should be adequate for the BMPCC. At first I encountered no issues, but recently I have noticed that often the "REC" icon will go from solid to flashing while I am recording a shot. This happens in both RAW and ProRes. I read somewhere that this indicates dropped frames, and this does appear to be the case in ProRes, but in RAW it is much more than that. When I play the clip back in the camera, the video freezes in the middle of the clip (and stays frozen for the remainder of the clip), while the audio continues to play properly. This continues to happen even if I switch the SD card out (with another of the same type). At first I wondered if this was simply an issue with the playback feature on the camera, but when I upload the footage to Resolve, it does the same thing (it also chops the clip up into tiny segments and places them inside a folder within the media pool, rather than directly into the media pool).

Anyone know why this is happening and what I can do about it? Am I using the wrong type of SD card? Thank you for your patience while I try to learn this product.

Hey Op,

Don't mean to get your hopes up but have you had any luck finding a solution? My Sandisk Pro 512gb SD doesn't appear to cause the crashing but this happens now with two of my Kingston 512gb SD cards.

I finished filming a 5 hour film shoot before realising all the footage had been corrupted and frozen about 10 seconds into each clip:')

I've used SanDisk Extreme PRO SD cards in the original Pocket with great success. Even with the older 95 MB/s versions.

If you're dropping frames, I would suspect a card defect.
