DIRTY WINDOWS | Blackmagic on a Drive

PostFri Apr 12, 2013 7:50 pm

Cross posting (as usual). If you already sawr it, I changed the file out for a larger one (and the music changed xP) for compression.

Shooting through Dirty Windows on the way to NAB, didnt' grab a lot but grabbed some. Some footage of the new Pocketcam and the scene it was shooting at NAB.

SLRMagic 25/0.95
SLRMagic 12/1.6
ISO 800 (all)
ProRes - NAB stuff
RAW - Nearly everything else

Captain Hook's LUT + FCPX color tools

Very inconsistent grade. Download the file.

It's not bad but does not look as sharp as Meet Me in Big Sur"
The Low light looks nice but way to soft overall about 15% softer to me on vimeo,
I like the low light capability but "Soft is just that" and unusable for my standards.

That's an artistic choice. Yes, softness can be a technical thing, but it's also a choice. We all have different standards I suppose.

Haha that's the second time that request has come up. xD

Switched music, but one day people will like the noise that I enjoy!

For now, I'll horde it.

Wait what...??? I said nothing about the soft silky skin that video produced :P
Don't take my comment out of context, overall it was soft to me, of that you think I said the pretty girl driving looked bad??? Not a CHANCE!

Come on now!, I never said that...Ever!! That was the best part

I look forward to the sharp, noisy, blown-out video from my BMPC-4K when it arrives later this Summer.

Joking (somewhat).
