OIS on 42.5mm 1.7 panasonic not working

PostTue Feb 20, 2018 4:47 am

Hi.

I have a bit of a weird behaviour with my panasonic 42.5mm 1.7 lens and i was wondering if anyone else had this kind of problem before.

When i start filming with this lens attached then the OIS is not working.
I figured out by just slightly re-attaching the lens when bmpcc is running, then the OIS seems to work.

I guess it must be a lens problem cos i couldn`t get this issue with any other lens.

Could that be a typical issue for a broken lens? Apart from that, the autofocus is pretty slow as well and can`t really focus for most of the time.

Thanks
Jan

OIS only works on the Pocket camera while the camera is in record mode. Also check, the lens and camera contacts for anymwear, dirt or damage.
