The Broadcast Camera is a Progressive Video Camera. The SSD recorder is treated like an internal drive, like the CFast and SD card slots, and is recording the internal progressive frame rates only. Interlaced 1080i50/59.94 is a PsF output via SDI only to support older broadcast switchers, and allow interlace recording with an external recorder, like your VA.
BM specification:
HD Video Standards
1080p23.98, 1080p24, 1080p25, 1080p29.97, 1080p30, 1080p50, 1080p59.94, 1080p60
Interlaced output via SDI 1080i50, 1080i59.94, 1080i60

Cheers

You can record 1080i onto it in DNxHD.

When you have the SSD Recorder connected the SDI In and Out works like a data link rather than standard SDI signal. Any format you can record internally to cards can be recorded to the SSD but that is set in the Record page of the menu... not in the Monitor page.

So Tim, does this mean the Broadcast Camera can record a 1080i59.94 signal to its internal media, or only output a 1080i via the main SDI out?
Cheers

Yes you can record 1080i50, 1080i59.94 and 1080i60 in DNxHD on it.
