Ursa Mini Pro 3D LUTs import problem.

PostSat Apr 07, 2018 2:33 pm

Hi, I'm new here. Looking for help.
So I just got a beautiful Ursa Mini Pro in hand a few months earlier.
In the very beginning of using it, it runs perfectly, and without any problem.
Recently, I updated Its firmware to v4.9, after that, I tried to import a LUT into the camera, and it didn't work.
what's changed? or am I importing it in a wrong way?
or is it something to do with the LUT file?

Make sure the LUTs are no bigger than 33x33x33, otherwise they won't import.

Try this one - it works with my UM46k on latest FW:
URSAMini46_Rec709_ShadSat1.zip

Many thanks, don't know if it's going to work or what. I'll try it immediately so I can send feedbacks soon. :)

HOLY MOLY! It worked! Thanks!
But here goes another question.
The problem LUT's file was exported from Davinci, what's the difference between that LUT's and the one you just gave me? And I just noticed the LUT's file I've imported with no problem before I update the FW, was a *.cube_shaperlut. And the one you just gave me is a *.cube.

LUTs can have different sizes. Imagine a cube made out of a point cloud. The smallest got 16x16x16 points - in total 4,096 points. A 33x33x33 has 35,937 points and a 64x64x64 has 262,144 points, which is the most precise LUT. The more points, the more processing power is needed. As there is a restriction how much in camera processing can be done, there is a natural restriction how precise the LUT for the camera can be. And that is 33x33x33
It should be possible to specify the precision in Resolve for exporting LUTs somewhere.

Thanks for explaining this to me. And I'll try to find those specifies in Resolve.
