RAW over SDI on Ursa Mini Pro

I am quite interested in the new Atomos capabilities to record Prores Raw but I am confused by the documentation on the URSA Mini Pro.

Does the UMP output RAW over the SDI? One would think so since the BM SSD recorder uses it and is supposedly able to grab 4.6K in RAW

There is no standard for RAW over SDI, so every company is free to use their own.

Yes, Atomos worked with Panasonic to get their recorder to record Raw from the EVA1, and to date, is the only recorder I know of that is compatible recording Raw from thr EVA1, which will be ProRes Raw, which Atomos worked with Apple to get. So perhaps someday, a standard Raw over SDI will emerge.
Meanwhile, it will be six months before anyone else can get ProRes Raw, per the Atomos agreement with Apple.

Interesting, I had not seen that part mentioned anywhere (didn't DJI also launch Prores RAW stuff?) can you point me to a source?

DJI was part of the development partnership. This was discussed in several places, BM User and the Panasonic Cinema Camera site, EVA1, wich sparked this project.

Common video out 10 bit, I don’t know if when you record prores 12 bit 4444 it out 12 bit out video.
If you switch to ssd recorder BMD you can find a 12 bit raw field out from sdi rear in out (both) to record only on ssd recorder BMD the raw 12 bit linear.
Not documented to avoid that other recorder could record their raw out (and also if you can the BMD is the less expansive since 350$ against over 1500 for the less expansive)

No the Atomos will not record 12-bit 4.4.4 output, either from what I read. Nor will it do full 5.6K Raw DNG from thr Eva1.

Ultimately I'd like to keep working in FCP X and not have to do stuff in Resolve, would be nice if they played nice with Atomos or at least implement their own Prores raw firmware

If BM RAW over SDI spec is available Atomos can add it.
Atomos can add support for any (as long as their recorder is capable of given resolution) RAW over SDI as long as spec for it is available from given camera manufacturer.

As far as I know, nobody has implemented the RAW SDI from the MS4K on anything.
