anyone else still on version 4.3 for ursa mini?

Maybe its since I got an iphone but i never to the updates anymore. Am I missing out?

I read somewhere once that someones ursa messed up after updated the software. Anyone else heard of these kind of issues?

No, and eventuali if an update work worst you can go back to previous OS, is simple to go back:
Remove from.computer the camera assistent software
Install previous version (on bmd web you can found every version)
Connect ursa and software not ricognize actual.firmware, then suggest you to install new firmware (downgrade in that case).
