Just saw this demo video of new Panavision DXL workflow enhancements:

What the video shows is:
1) Wireless live grading of camera image that gets recorded as CDL metadata in the raw files.
2) Camera records both full resolution raw files and HD res proxy files with CDL look baked into the image = instant dailies recorded right in camera.
To make it happen Panavision had to connect products from multiple vendors.
BMD could implement the same amazing workflow using just their own products. I’d love to see these kind of enhanced workflow features in the future from BMD. Imagine wirelessly live grading the image on your Ursa Mini Pro, and then from the the moment the camera stops rolling being able to immediately hand off colored HD proxy files to editorial.
