E-type nikkor lenses

PostThu May 31, 2018 9:21 pm

Hi Guys,

By any chance does Blackmagic have any updates or feedback about the E-type Nikon lenses? I own the BM UMP and the F-mount but I can't control the aperture mechanically since the aperture of Nikon's new lenses, inc. Nikon 16-80mm f'2.8-4 are now controlled by electronic signals within the camera itself.

Thanks

ThemonlymNikon Mount currently available,is the mechanical one you mentioned. Nikon has a current patent on its new E Mount, and I would not be looking for any non Nikon camera mounts to become available. BM would have to get a license from Nikon to use their new mount and lens control protocol, which is not likely to happen any time soon. This is the same issue as with the Sony E Mount.
