So the company I work for has a 4k Production Cinema Camera and we are having problems shutting it off properly. Also the screen isn't displaying anything despite still being turned on. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I have a 4K production and have never experienced any of these issues but there are a few trouble shoot methods to try out.

1. make sure you're using the latest firmware for the production camera 4.3.2
2. try using house power rather than batteries to rule out potential issues with batteries or battery plate
3. if you've made it this far and are still having issues then take the camera back to an earlier version
4. if none of those helped then its time to call up blackmagic design.

Also to power off thr BMPC 4K, you need to hold the power button down for about 2-Sec, then release, camera show power down. To,power it up, hold button for a 1,2,3 count and releasease, Camera should lower up.

Check the SDI out to an external monitor to see if that is working, if it is, and the camera monitor is black, then you have an issue with the camera. If both are black, then you have a power issue to the camera or a bad power switch, as it is down powering up.

To force shutting down try to hold down the power off button about 10 sec.
