Posts like this don't really contribute much besides wishful begging for an abstraction of a product no one really knows about just yet.

Yeah...no. If you want a RED, get a RED.

Frank, that sounds like an URSA Micro. Some say the new Pocket 4K is the URSA Micro.

Frank, I agree with Rick, you are not going to going to get the BM 4.6 sensor in much of a smaller body.
If it is a small cube you want, get a Micro Cinema camera.

U guys are lame haha

I dont want a red.... i want the body size.

And if arri and red can do it, so can black magic. I dont want a 4k pocket small sensor. Old men have no imaginations.

Frank, if you don’t want a Pocket-sized small (‘crop’ factor 1.9x) sensor, use your imagination. If I had an imagination, I’d imagine a Metabones SpeedBooster for the Pocket4K that might even give you a wider angle of view than a 135 film stills camera. My SLR Magic APO PL primes can just handle that. If Colour 4, with a little effort in post, let’s me match shots with the URSA Mini 4.6K sensor, that’s my URSA Micro. Frame rates match. They both do 12bit raw. They both handle timecode. I can use the same primes and filters. I can use the same recording media. Checks a lot of boxes including the box for “it’s a steal!”

The best camera is the one you have! Still I admit it’s good “to dream the impossible dream.”

It actually sounds like an Ursa Mini but with less functionality. I find it a lot better that I can go from tripod to shoulder with a balanced camera in a second, something that I cant with a DSMC or a Alexa Mini. I like the Amira a lot more because of that.
I will agree that the camera needs to be a bit more gimbal-friendly though, and the materials could be better.
