Anamorphic De-squeeze Function on Ursa Mini 4.6k EF

PostSun Jul 08, 2018 1:16 pm

Hi!

Im having trouble finding a way to de-sqeeze the image (in camera!) while having my PL-adapter and shooting 3K Anamorphic-setting on the Black Magic Ursa Mini 4.6k EF. Im shooting with the Angenieux Optimo 56-152mm, T4.0 Anamorphic Zoom.

Does anyone know how to solve this?

Cheers,

Anton, the option to desqueeze the monitor view should be there in the Monitor menu tab. I’m not at the camera now, but you can set your view to 1.33x or 2x desqueeze so things look normal as you record. If you first select 3072x2560 6:5 then the only option may be 2x desqueeze. If you shoot in a 16:9, the only option may be 1.33x. The design is such that your monitor will display a widescreen 12:5 (2.4:1) aspect ratio correctly.
