UMP 4.6k Audio Issue

PostFri Aug 03, 2018 10:08 am

Hello,

I've run into a issue in that whenever i plug in my radio mic into the camera there is a loud buzzing noise whilst i'm using mains power. On battery is fine though.

Any suggestions?

Cheers

Yes, this has been previously reported, and seems to be some type of interference from the mains power supply.

Thanks, has anyone been able to find a solution or get around to the problem?

Yes, use a large 12-14VDC battery, like the old video light battery small size wet cell units, fuse it for your camera load, Nd plug it in with the 4-pin xlr connector. Or get a better, filtered, regulated mains power supply, like those used on ENG cameras.
