No, for shoulder work, you need a EVF, ykumwill not be able to see the flip out monitor very well.
Shooting from your shoulder had more to do with balance than anything else. You are becoming the tripod.
So you need three points of contact to hold,the camera steady. Your shoulder, your right hand on a grip, or the Zoom rocker handle on an ENG lens, or relocated BM grip with cine lenses, and your head/eye up to the EVF. This allows you to see, focus and be steady wiht the shot. Save up,and plan to get the BM EVF, keep checking on line stirs for a good deal on a used one, that is how I got mine.
