locked XLR audio levels on the Mini Pro with firmware 6

PostWed Sep 19, 2018 3:51 pm

is it a bug of the beta firmware 6 that the XLR audio levels are locked at 50% or the Mini Pro was always like that and I never noticed before ?

when selecting XLR inputs the audio control sliders are locked at 50% , the -20db pad are locked at ON and the 2 external knobs does nothing except going from 49% when fully closed to 51% when fully open

I’d like to know if this is normal as it happens to my UMP as well.

The level controls are for the mic preamps on the UM Pro and Broadcast Cameras. When using line inputs or AES inputs, the mic preamps are not used, and the line level, amps are set to Unity at 50 percent max. If you need more audio, increas rhr audio level being feed into the camera with a preamp mixer between the source and camera. It has been this way since these cameras were released, not a but in FW 6.0.
