Home sweet home. I drive by much of that every night - just not so quickly. Great footage.

Freeways. The rivers of luminance.

I saw this footage on Youtube and thought that it came out of the East from whence the BMPCC4K has been in the wild.
But no, it cometh from good old Los Angeles. I thought I recognized the locations and I know that I have never been to the Far East or then again maybe I have.

Lived just off Pico Blvd and Robertson for six years before moving to Woodland Hills. Completely different language in The Valley. That’s also popular: Valleyspeak.

The craziest thing is that this is using the Lumix G X 12-35mm f2.8. A $700 lens, $5-$600 used

Denny, I do know what you mean.

I have to pull my pants up all the time.

Rick, did you have to take the 405 to the 134 to 101?
Or was it a case of taking the 405 to the 118?

Copy that, what is your 20? Going 10-1, unless I have eyes on some sides. See you at crafty.

Leon, did 23 miles every workday 405 to 101. As quick as 30 minutes and as long as over 2 hours.

Often took Mulholland Drive for variety.

What familiar pain... it depends which is faster, of course.

When I first arrived in L.A. I worked for an infomercial company based near the Santa Monica airport.

I would take Laurel Canyon up to Mulholland Drive to Beverly Glen Blvd to Sunset Blvd to Santa Monica Blvd.
That is a very beautiful, scenic route. One can forget that one is in a big city.

Sorry, Leon, I can’t see that video in Canada. Must be a problem with NAFTA. I know that route too and enjoyed coming down those winding roads to get to Santa Monica Blvd and home.
