2-Pin vs 2-Pin Lemo

PostFri Oct 12, 2018 4:37 pm

Hey guys, I'm curious if there's a difference between a "2-pin" and a "2-pin Lemo" connector. Blackmagic's Dtap to 2-pin cable bundle isn't available yet and BMD (tech support) isn't caught up on what these things are. Looking at Amazon, most are called "2-pin Lemo" and wondering if those would connect to the 4k Pocket.

Any ideas? Thanks!

I just answered my own question... this 2-pin on the 4k camera is special. So... Blackmagic Design makes a $55 dtap to 2-pin pack (that's on heavy backorder) and Wooden Camera makes one for $79. It looks like I'm going Wooden Camera.

Yes, yiu May get it faster, like in theee days from ordering. I got some WC cables made, they are excellent quality and well made. Just be sure to specify the length you want in the comments section of the order form, or you will wind up with a 12-inch cable (length includes connectors).

What I am considering is cutting off a section of the cable and connector that comes with the mains power adapter and making it into an adapter cable to cheaper, easy to get connectors.
