Feature Request - 9:16 marker guides

PostSat Oct 13, 2018 6:50 pm

Would be great to have 9:16 marker guides added as an option in the onscreen markers on BM cams. We often have to shoot content that will also be used in 9:16 format so would be great to be able to have some guides to frame up with social platforms in mind (shooting portrait is not an option as the content is multi purposed.

Cheers

Agreed. Also 1:1. Have raised this here before but no response. It’s such a simple feature.

If you want to bring attention to BM developers, then send a feature request via BM support page.

I tried writing a mail, but their stupid pop-up script for mails closed out of nothing after I wrote a longer mail. Not motivated to try again.

Pro tip (out of own angry experience): write your text first somewhere else on your computer and then paste it into the text field...

Yes please!!! my last 5 jobs have required 9:16 and 4:5 guides which we had to slap on on external monitors. And had to worry about accuracy.

This would give BM cameras a huge advantage for social media content!

It something very simple to adjust. If posible make it so the rations can be input by the user that way they wont have limits to standard ratios.

This would definitely be a useful feature given how important social media/mobile platforms have become in our disribution. Good opportunity for BM to lead the pack.

The flexibility to pan the guide left-right would also be important as its not always the case that the part of the frame you want to crop out and deliver is dead-centre.
