Lens Adapters For BMPCC4K - Viltrox vs Commlite

PostMon Nov 12, 2018 11:17 pm

Has anyone tried the Commlite adapter for EFS-M4T?

It appears to be much less expensive than the Viltrox.

Commlite CM-AEF-MFT(B) Canon EF/EF-S Lens to Micro Four Thirds(MFT,M4/3) - $160

vs

VILTROX EF-E II F Booster - $218

Of course, Metabones is the Rolls Royce but costs as much as a Prime!

I've got a few lower end Canon EFS lenses, a zoom, and a few fixed, so it seems for fairly low end end shooting the adapter is the way to go but if doing a feature or a high-end commercial it would be better to rent a lens package.

I bought the Aputure LensRegain for $150. It is EF-MFT, and has electronic focus and iris control with wireless remote and a/b focus memory buttons. I believe it works with most EF lenses, but not for sure on that. I plan on getting the Sigma 18-35, which I understand it works on.
