I just saw the latest video on YouTube by Blackmagic Design of footage from the BMPCC4K. From this video, and all the other ones I've seen so far, I personally love the color science of this camera. I'm seriously planning on getting one at some point. When my finances are in better shape.
As an aspiring film maker, and long time visual effects artist, I know cameras - like software - are merely tools for the most part. But, sometimes some tools provide better outcomes than others. Of course, it all depends on the hands and minds behind the tools. But, from my experience with Blackmagic and DaVinci Resolve, I am liking what I see coming out of Blackmagic Design as a company and developer of film making tools.
