Bmpcc4k - how to delete clips?

Bmpcc4k - I cant see a delete button? How can I delete clips? Like a dud clip?

Surely we dont have to go onto a laptop to manage media files?

There isn’t one, and you can not delete individual clips. Deleting clips on a video camera can lead to recording media issues with the high data rate recordings this and other BM cameras use. Also deleting clips is not a usual pro video workflow, and is not only found on consumer equipment and still cameras, where media management is not an issue.

It would be nice to be able to at least delete the last clip. You can do it on Arri cameras so it's possible in pro video work flows. I'd like to see it on BM cameras too.

No, not likely from what I understand. Deleting clips is more of a digital still camera thing, where recording media fragmentation is not an issue. Cameras like the BMD Cinema cameras require such large files with high data rates, you do not want to fragment the drive/card. Standard practice is to download the clips and reformat the media card to get a new “clean slate” for recording to. This he,ps to reduce media card recording errors and dropped frames.

Absolutely not. You can just as easily use a desktop.

Or even an IPad Pro (new version) with appropriate card reader...
