Screen protector on the BMPCC 4k?

PostFri Jan 18, 2019 12:03 pm

Hi guys,

I just bought a screen protector for my pocket 4 k. Do you suggest me to install it on the lcd without second thoughts? Did any of you install a screen protector on your PC4k?

If it actually fits, go right ahead. I had to return the one I purchased. Eventually I just trimmed a universal screen protector and just called it a day.

Lyn may disagree but I am wary of plastic degrading what I can see on the monitor. I do have very strong glass protecting my iPhone screen and would endorse that but don’t know where I’d get that in the correct size.

Rick,

I can definitely understand that. I have not had any issues with it so far. Well, at least not from a visibility standpoint. It is a bit less attractive when using another camera to record the BMPCC4k screen.

I hate screen protectors. They scratch more readily, are harder to clean, and can degrade the image. Most newer HD screens have a very durable impact resistant glass cover, so will not scratch like the plastic ones of old.
