BMPCC4K with Zhiyun Crane 2

Hey guys,

I just got a Zhiyun crane 2 for my BMPCC4K.

Tired of lugging around my original DJI-Ronin around, although i still use it with my Ursa Mini 4.6k from time to time.

I wanted to show a photo of my rig set up... i got the small rig cage, a small rig v-mount clamp/adapter, and i ordered a D-tap to 2pin cable so i can use my batteries i use with my Ursa Mini V-mounts with this camera and not have to buy multiple Core powerbase v-mounts that Switronix are offring for $270 each.....(plus they only last like 2.5 hours with that tiny battery). So much better not having that battery problem anymore and honestly the v-mount adapter mounts nicely under the small cage just like the Core power base they make for this camera.

Now the only thing i am missing is a record trigger.....Anybody know an option for this? I know the zhiyun crane 2 is capable of using its record trigger via its cable but i havent found anything online about this for the BMPCC4K..

Im thinking of just getting a record trigger and mounting it on the crane handle....but which one would work for the zhiyun crane 2 that isnt too expensive? Would i use the trigger through the BMPCC4K hdmi port?

So far the only way to trigger recording is through bluetooth... Tilta has said they are working on getting it to work through the USB port.

Really thats the only way ? there isnt an external recording trigger that can go directly into the hdmi ?

But with the current lens i have with it, it wont work. Its too small.

Only via Bluetooth and, with the official app at least, only with an iPad.

Hows it going with your crane 2, it is on sale right now with the follow focus, and I am trying to decide between the crane 2 or moza air 2

Its going great, I love it !

I got mine with follow focus on offer up for about 400.

I havent used the follow focus yet but i have heard its a big buggy...I only shoot with the SLR magic 8mm..its too tiny to use with the follow focus with out some rigging.
