Flash of FPN when powering on - normal?

Is it normal to have a flash of intense FPN when powering on, only to have it disappear a few seconds after? Here's a video:

While I haven't observed it like that, any CMOS sensor is very sensitive to temperature and will only perform well at the intended operating level.
Now that the cat #19 is out of the bag, test it as much as you can and use the subforum.

Mine definitely does this ...curious as to why myself...

Really hoping for BRAW to help fight the FPN

My 4.6K EF does a similar thing, but it's just the vertical lines of the sensor and it appears before the image of the scene. I don't know why either, but it doesn't seem to be a problem..?

Maybe that's before the black shading kicks in?

Yeah, doesn't seem to be a problem. That's why it's so odd to me. Just curious to know what causes it to happen.

Thanks for the responses!
