Pocket 4K - BRAW 12:1 4K@60FPS + SanDisk Extreme Pro 90MB/s

Hi, I know there is official list of approved cards, but can someone who own SanDisk Extreme Pro cards with write speed upto 90 MB/s confirm that is possible write 12:1 braw at 4k60fps on these cards?

Theoreticaly this cards from testing software have write speeds between 82-87 MB/s and according to my calculations 4K60FPS need speed at least 68 MB/s, so maybe it can work. Can someone test it? I bet lot of you have this cards at home.

possible cards are always 90MB/s write and then versions with 95 or 170 MB/s read and one is microSD with adapter.

and last question. it is any chance if microSD card and big SD card have same parameters 90/170MB/s is there any reason to not buy microSD with adapter? it is 15% cheaper. Thanks

Search the forum, a few people have already confirmed that braw 12.1 60fps will work without drop frames on the sandisk extreme 95. (And 8.1 with 30fps)

Safe to say it should work on the 170 cards (speed wise)

I am looking into forum whole day. I found just some mentions about Q5 work with these cards at 60FPS. But will be nice to have this info in one place, so if someone can confirm, I will add in first post.(and buy same card )

I found this video... pretty nice.

I bought the 256GB version (new generation card only) and couldn't get more than 5s at 4K/60FPS Q5 without dropped frames.

Already replied to exact same question in another thread here.

It works fine on my 90mbs sd cards.

60fps 12:1 and Q5 both work on the Sandisk Extreme Pro cards, but it's at the edge of their performance. Probably not the wisest thing to do.

So, I tried the 128 GB Sandisk Extreme Pro 170MB/s again and this is what I got:

4K 60fps
---

BRAW 12:1
2 minutes non-stop. No issues.

BRAW 8:1
5 seconds in and dropped frames.

BRAW Q5
2 seconds in and dropped frames.

No problems in 4K 24fps or 1080/120fps.

Now that I know 12:1 works fine, I'll probably go this route instead of having to lug around this SSD. Good news for me!

All of that sd are v30, 95-170 are only marketing number, but not interest you be cause is reading value.

v30 is video speed recording, the number mean real writing value on sd card, the value is directly the mb
v30 -> 30 mb/s writing.

anyway, if you record on 30p you can use extreme pro to record also in q5 without problem until you fill all sd. More frame mean more data rate, you need v60 or v90, but are obviously more expansive.

BRAW 8:1 4K DCI 25fps 2 minute test recording and 12:1 60fps 5 minute test recording. No issues.

I've just upgraded to Resolve 16 on my MBP 15-inch 2017 and none of my BRAW 12:1 4K@60fps clips play in real-time. They play fine in Blackmagic Raw Player, but in Resolve 16 dropping frames like crazy and is unusable. Anyone else experiencing this and if so, any suggestions how to resolve?
