When is 4channel audio finally arriving?

This was promised already since the release of UMP models. Then you could use the build in micro for 2 channels and use the XLR inputs for another 2.
When oh when will this promise find it’s way into the firmware?

The existing Ursa Mini Pro (Ver 1) hardware does not suport 4-channel recording, as the audio preamps are two channel only, from what I understand, as was never a promised feature, but a future item. The new UM Pro 2 may have the hardware (not confirmed) to allow 4-channel recording using the XLR inputs in AES mode (2-channels per XLR) or a combo of inputs.

The future availability of four channel audio has been in the manual since the camera came out as far as I’m aware, stating it was a future software update.

And the BMPCC4K has four mics. Still two channel recording.
