oh yaaa i checked the previous post about the Apo lenses!
thanks for that!!!
hmm but the hyperprimes only come with mft mount right?
All the current lenses and mounts.
I am looking for Pl mount lenses, just saw that those apo primes are pretty cheap and nice vintage look! and because of their same weight , they are perfect for gimbal.
But company is quite young and read already some issues with the houses.
Did u experience any issues?
I sent the original 50mm and 85mm back for some adjustment as the witness marks didn’t line up on both sides of the lens. The 50mm has been updated to match the other lenses housing so you can’t buy the original 50mm. The 32mm is so sweet.
- have you tried to mount them on a pl mount cam ?
The T2.1 APO primes are on my USRA Mini 4.6K PL mount camera.
any play while focusing?
On occasion there might have been but minor. I think you learn to work with it so it does move smoothly and with good resistance but the lenses aren’t 100% identical. See the next answer...
- how is the focus in general?
- 300° seems a long way
and smooth or harder to move the focus?
The focus of my APO primes are now always performed by the PD Movie PDL-F-V2 thumb controller so focus is very smooth and movement very steady. The PD-MX motors do the work and the controller keeps everything locked in place. Every change of focus has a 300° movement which is an easy movement of your thumb as opposed to hand-cranking a manual follow focus or gear. Never really knew what I was missing until I was forced to go that route with the use of the 1.33x-65 Anamorphot, but I’m glad I did.
thank you very much for your reply!!
