Been harassed from last night.

1. BRAW files shot on the 4k Pocket Camera 3:1 display and play correctly on BM Raw player.

2. On importing into Resolve 15 & also on 16
(iMac 27", 16GB, 3.7GHz) there are intermittent flashes of "media offline" IN BETWEEN THE SHOT.

3. Tried to convert and export from Resolve to mp4 & mov with same problem.

4. The footage is remarkable but this is a serious issue and has really turned me away from BM Raw.

This is part of a feature film's patch work and we are going on to grade in two days, The editor needs to lock and the Colorist needs to conform the footage, but we are stuck with this nasty issue. How is it that Resolve of all should have this problem with BM footage?

Any advice?

Anyone knows whats happening and the solution?

Post this in the Resolve section of the forum if you have not done so.

Have you rebooted your computer? Something that doesn’t make sense can disappear after a restart.

If you can, post a link to a downloadable sample. Also, what's your recording medium? Does it occur with more than one disk or card?

The likeliest explanation is that your recording medium dropped frames, but the camera wasn't set up to stop recording in that event (do you see an exclamation point in the record symbol, while recording?). Unlike Prores, braw will display that media offline indicator, for dropped frames. Why this wasn't seen in the braw player, I don't know.

I am new to this, I did not realise this is the wrong forum for my queries.

Thank you for your replies.

1. I noticed that there are dropped frames while shooting which are being revealed in Resolve not in BM Raw Player.
2. Will go back to the studio and I presume the "stop recording if frames are dropped" option was not ticked on.

Regards,
Sachin
