Sustained write speed is what is relevant - not max write speed.

I've only ever had 1 dropped frame with my Samsung T5s (1 and 2TB) and it was using Q0 filming some very fine grass.Other than that they have been rock solid.
What would be really great though is to be able to use the new NVME portable drives which give write speeds in excess of 1000 Mbs. The camera just doesn't recognise the drive and I assume it a simple driver issue? They also draw more power so I guess it could also be a hardware limitation?
I don't pretend to know how it works... but if the drive is attached via USBc then surely it's just a driver to interface with the datastream? it's a USB interface not PCIe, But as I say I don't know - but I'm sure there are people here who do.
