Dead Pixel ?

PostTue Jun 25, 2019 8:06 am

Hi,

I bought a blackmagic URSA Mini Pro 3 months ago, the camera is close from new, but i discovered the other day a dead pixel on the sensor, the pixel flashes green every 2 seconds approximatively, it's a new problem, it was not there on my first two shoots
In some shots i dont know why but the dead pixels dont flashes green.. and then it come back...

Please help.

Thanks.

As far as I can see, that’s not a dead pixel. Does it show up on footage or have you only seen it on the monitor?

There is no such camera as an URSA Mini Pro 3. Do you mean the new Pro G2?

A dead pixel should be square. That looks like something else but sad it’s affecting your media. That needs to have BMD Support look at it. It might be camera circuit related (not photosites) if it comes and goes frequently.

It's not square because the footage is anamorphic and desqueeze.

Thanks for the explanation that you’re shooting anamorphic. You know you can desqueeze on the monitor when shooting anamorphic and of course desqueeze in Resolve.

BMD may read posts but you need to officially call BMD Support if this issue still exists.

Dead Pixel ?

If you sent to Blackmagic Design assistance in uk you may be resolve in a few days. I had some trouble with va4k during Christmas period and Blackmagic Design uk sent me back in ten days from my shipping

Anyway resolve had a tool to remove dead pixel from footage, obviously I talk about just shooted movies, for the future I hope you can solve with uk assistance that work for all Europe people
