IBC 2019

PostThu Sep 12, 2019 5:10 am

I'm leaving tomorrow for the IBC with my partner in crime.

Wondering if many contributors of this forum/Blackmagic users are heading to A'dam?

Cheers

Wish I could be there. Enjoy the expo!

I'll have to console myself with the infinitely smaller show here in Portland on Sept 26. :-)

Looks like Sigma announced their new "Classic" Cinema Lenses are on display at IBC: https://www.sigma-global.com/en/news/2019/09/11/2208/

What I love about this announcement is that they have /i Technology...

And so do the regular Sigma Cinema Primes: https://www.sigma-global.com/en/news/2019/09/11/2221/

This is great news for people like me who care about that lens metadata. Also very good for VFX.

Can't wait to see what Blackmagic brings to the table.

No pressure, Olivier; just enjoy! And I know you’ll treasure meeting up with John Brawley and the others from the BMD forum.

Yeah, I have the still “Art” Sigma lenses and have used them with my UM4.6K and now the UMP G2. I have the PL Mount so I can put it on the G2 when I want to use really good cinema glass. I will look at renting the updated PL Sigma lenses when they become available.

Blackmagic is live in 7 hours! I guess they are going ahead with Friday the 13th to announce their updates.

Okay, my post was deleted. Out of respect I won't say anything, but I watched the video since it was made live by accident. You're all in for a treat!

I forgot to ask the BM rep.

I did ask for the Resolve keyboard. He said it's available right now, but BH lists it as pre-order....
