Proxy Generator Formats

Hello everyone,

I have a question about proxy generation. So i'm on Windows, and i have a pretty good machine, but once in a while i want to make proxys. And i really really like BM Proxy Generator but one thing i can not understand so maybe someone is willing to explain to me?

How come i can make DNxHD and DNxHR proxys in DR (then i can not do anything else) but not in Proxy Generator (whichs lets me do anything with DR). And how come apple has Prores in Proxy Generator? Is apple ecosysem getting special treatment just because?

Guess? Codec licensing issues. Would be a nice add to the external proxy generator. Try making a feature request.

My opinion...bad design.

Proxy formats should be centered around proper Intermediate formats like Cineform, DNx and ProRes - whether they're generated inside or outside of Resolve.

I mean, but they already use it in DR, is it that different than having it also on Proxy generator?
