Intensity Pro 4K displaying power windows

PostSun May 12, 2024 11:38 pm

This has been something I've noticed for a few updates since my current 18.6, but I've never mentioned here in the forums.

Sometimes, when I generate a power window OR cloud tracker, these marks will also show on my Display monitor via Intensity Pro 4K hardware. It can be annoying when color-correcting and you usually have to click away to some other tool to momentarily remove it, but when going back to that tool, power windows, it is often still there in the Display monitor.

I don't think it was intended, nor would there be any reason to show it there since it is already in the computer's display.

I suggest you check Preferences > User > Playback Settings
If 'Hide UI overlays' is selected a power window overlay is enabled on the GUI preview at all times
with Decklink output only in pause mode.

I personally find this ideal working always with my Eizo monitor connected to the Decklink.

One thing to watch for, if 'Minimize interface updates during playback' is also selected Decklink output then behaves the same as the GUI, so seemingly disabling the first choice? I don't understand that.

Okay, well, like you say when enabling Hide UI overlays, it does go away during playback. But would be a nice option to completely remove the GUI from Program monitor. I wonder if the newer updates I installed of the Desktop Video Setup has had anything to do with this.

Anyways, just a nuisance, I can deal with it.
